Problem

Reading the hard drive takes an usually long time after restarting the Notebook.

Hard drive error occurs.

Hard drive does not work.

Probable Cause

System entered Hibernation due to low-battery condition and is now exiting from it.

Hard drive has bad sectors or has failed.

Hard drive is not seated properly.

Solution

Give the system time to restore the previously saved data to its exact state before Hibernation.

Run Computer Checkup.

Turn off the Notebook, disconnect it from the electric outlet, and remove the battery pack. Remove and reinstall the hard drive.
