Dot product

Function DOT is used to calculate the dot product of two vectors with the same length. Attempting to calculate the dot product of two vectors of different length causes an error message “ ”.

For 2-D vectors: [A, B], [C, D], dot product is defined as [A, B] [C, D]= A x C +B x D.

For 3-D vectors: [A, B, X], [C, D,Y], dot product is defined as [A, B, X] [C, D, Y]= A x C +B x D+X x Y

1.Enter the first Vector

2.Press

3.Enter the second vector

4.Press

Note: The sign,,here means ”dot product” instead of “cross product”. For cross product, see chapter 17.
