6-1. INTRODUCTION

The replaceable parts list breakdown for each major assembly is located in Section VIII, following the circuit description for the assembly. This section contains information for ordering the replacement parts not listed in Section VIII. Table 6-1 includes a list of reference designations and a list of abbreviations used in the parts list. Table 6-2 lists names and addresses that correspond to the manufacturer code numbers in the parts list. Table 6-3 lists the replaceable parts in alp-ha-numericalorder by reference des- ignation.

6-3. REPLACEABLEPARTS LIST

6-4. Table 6-3, the list of replaceable parts, is organized as follows:

1 . Major assemblies and their part numbers.

2.Accessories supplied and their part numbers.

3. Miscellaneous chassis parts and their part num- bers.

4.Mechanical chassis parts and their part num- bers.

6-5. The following information is listed for each part:

1.The Hewlett-Packard part number.

2.The part number check digit (CD).

. The total quantity (Qty) in the instrument. This quantity is given only once, at the first appearance of the part in the list.

4.The description of the part.

5 . A five-digit code indicating a typical manufacturer of the part.

6.The manufacturer's part number.

6-6. ORDERING INFORMATION

6-7. To order a part listed in the replaceable parts table, quote the Hewlett-Packard part number (with check digit), indicate the quantity required, and address the order to the nearest Hewlett-Packard office. The check digit will ensure accurate and timely processing of your order.

6-8. To order a part that is not listed in the replaceable parts table, include the instrument model num- ber, instrument serial number, the description and function of the part, and the number of parts required. Address the order to the nearest Hewlett- Packard office.
