Connect equipment as shown in Figure 4-1 1.

 

NOTE

For early instruments that do not feature A16J3, a 321.4 MHz, - 25 dBm signal can be injected directly into the input of Third Converter Assembly A10 at blue cable A1OW1. Set signal generator COUNTER MODE to EXPAND XI00 (most significant digit will overflow).

3.Adjust signal generator frequency until spectrum analyzer trace is at peak. Put signal generator OUTPUT LEVEL to position trace at top graticule line.

4.Tune signal generator until trace drops to 2 divisions above graticule baseline. Record signal generator frequency.
