Scoring and Modeling Parameters

When deploying a stream to IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services, you can choose
which parameters can be viewed or edited each time the model is update d or scored. For example,
you might specify maximum and minimum values, or some other value that may be subject to
change each time a job is run.

ETomake a paramet er visible so it can be viewed or edited after the stream is deployed, select it
from the list in the dialog box.
The list of available parameters is dened on the Parameters tab in the stream p roperties dialog
box. For more information, see the topic Setting Stream and Session Parame ters in Chapter 5
on p. 68.
The Scoring Branch
If you are deploying a stream, one branch of the stream must be designated as the scoring branch
(that is, the one containing the scoring node). When y oud esignate a branch as the scoring
branch, that branch is highlighted on the stream canvas, as is the model link to the nugg et on the
scoring branch. This visual representation is particularly useful in c omplex streams with multiple
branches, where the scoring branch might not be immediately obvious.
Note: Only one stream branch can be designated as the scoring branc h.
