SECTION 4 " Configuration

Wireless Hops

To create a wireless hop, you must enable one or more WLIF radios on the distribution LAN as wireless hopping Masters and then configure the Slave stations (through [Slave Parms]) to connect to these Masters.

EXAMPLE: In Figure 4-4, two access points have two WLIF radios. One radio is configured as a Master to provide the wireless connection to the distribution LAN. The other radio is configured as a Slave to service wireless station traffic.

"NOTE: For best performance, use one or two external antenna kits when using two WLIF radios. A minimum separation of 10 feet (3 meters) between antennas is required.
