Setting

Description

Default

Uses the factory-set settings for the radio proto-

(default)

col (settings are located under [Manual MAC

 

Parms]). The Default setting should be used for

 

normal operation.

Interference

Optimizes the settings for the radio protocol for

 

better performance in environments with high

 

interference or multipath.

Throughput

Optimizes the settings for the radio protocol for

 

better performance of file transfer operations in

 

open or uncongested environments, such as of-

 

fice areas.

Manual

Allows you to adjust WLIF MAC parameters

 

(located under [Manual MAC Parms]) individu-

 

ally. Do not select this setting unless a Systems

 

Engineer directs you to do so.

Occasionally, a site’s WLIF radio parameters may need to be fine-tuned. Options for [Manual MAC Parms] enable the Customer Response Center to fine-tune this access point’s performance. Settings are:
