Notes on Using the Battery

If you use the battery for a long period, the camera body and the battery itself will become warm. This is normal and is not a malfunction. Use the AC power adapter supplied with the camera if you are taking pictures or viewing images for a long period of time.

The above figures are a guide to the number of consecutive shots that can be taken when the flash is used 50% of the time at room temperature. However, the actual number of available shots varies depending on the ambient temperature when the camera is used and the amount of charge in the battery.

To avoid wasting battery charge, switch the camera off promptly when it is not being used.

To increase the time for which your battery can be used in cold locations, warm the battery by placing it in your pocket and then load it into the camera just before you take pictures. If you are using a heating pad, take care not to place the battery directly against the pad.
