!CAUTION

In some cases, you may not be able to view image data recorded using the GC-S5 if the data has been processed or edited on a personal computer and then transferred back to the camera and recorded.

Data can only be exchanged between the GC-S5 and a personal computer using Exif- JPEG-format files with the file names DSC00001.JPG to DSC99999.JPG. While it is sometimes possible to exchange files with other names, this should be avoided since it could cause problems with the camera’s playback and recording functions. In some cases, you may not be able to view an image file with one of the above file names if the data has been processed or edited on a personal computer and then transferred back to the camera and recorded.
