Clearing a Media Misfeed at the Duplex

" PAPER JAM DUPLEX1 appearing in the display indicates a paper jam occurs at the paper exit.

PAPER JAM DUPLEX2 appearing in the display indicates a paper jam occurs at the paper exit or the interior of the top cover of the duplex.

At the paper exit

1 Examine the center output tray and remove any misfed media.

" If media is torn, check for any remaining media.

" If the paper is difficult to remove, proceed to the following section "At the interior of the duplex cover" to examine the interior of the duplex cover and remove the media.

At the interior of the duplex cover

1 Lift the lever at the top left hand side of the duplex to unlock it and open the duplex cover.
