4 Open the cover of the fuser unit and remove any misfed media.

" If media is torn, check for any remaining media.

" Make sure that the levers at both ends of the fuser unit are returned to the positions they were in before clearing the jam.

CAUTION

The area around the fuser unit is extremely hot.

Touching anything other than the indicated levers may result in burns. If you get burned, immediately cool the skin under cold water, and then seek professional medical attention.
