	Menu item	Description
	Honor Init	Determines if the printer honors printer hardware initialization requests from the
	Off	computer
	On	Notes:
		• Off is the factory default setting.
		• The computer requests initialization by activating the Init signal from the
		parallel port. Many personal computers activate the Init signal each time the
		computer is turned on.
	Parallel Mode 2	Determines if the parallel port data is sampled on the leading or trailing edge of a
	On	strobe
	Off	Note: On is the factory default setting.
	Mac Binary PS	Sets the printer to process Macintosh binary PostScript print jobs
	Auto	Notes:
	On
		• Auto is the factory default setting.
	Off
		• Off filters print jobs using the standard protocol.
		• On processes raw binary PostScript print jobs.
	ENA Address	Sets the network address information for an external print server

	ENA Netmask	Sets the netmask information for an external print server

	Menu item	Description
	PCL SmartSwitch	Sets the printer to automatically switch to PCL emulation when a print job received
	On	through a serial port requires it, regardless of the default printer language
	Off	Notes:
		• On is the factory default setting.
		• When set to Off, the printer does not examine incoming data. The printer uses
		PostScript emulation if PS SmartSwitch is set to On. It uses the default printer
		language specified in the Setup menu if PS SmartSwitch is set to Off.
