If the jam occurs in the fuser:
1Open the printer cover.
2Remove the print cartridge (it may be warm).
Note: Exposing the photoconductor to light may damage the print cartridge. After you remove the print cartridge from the printer, cover it or store it in a clean, dark place.
3Gently pull out the media.

CAUTION: Avoid touching the fuser, it may be hot!
4If the media is jammed tightly behind the roller, or if you just can’t get a grip on it, close the cover, open the front output door, and pull out the paper.
5Make sure there is no more media in the printer.
6Reinstall the print cartridge.
7Close the printer cover to resume printing.
A jam may occur if the output bin is too full and the media is unable to exit the printer:
1Empty the media from the output bin.
2Clear the jam.
