6.K697-1 Power Cord Extension — Extension 115V power cord (20’/6.1m) allows extra convenience when work is located some distance away from power receptacle.

INNERSHIELD (FCAW) CONVERSION

Several changes are needed to convert the unit for operation with the Innershield (FCAW) process. The K549-1 or K549-2 Innershield Kits include all the necessary accessories for this conversion and are provided for this purpose. The following conversions should be made using the contents of this kit:

1.Change the output polarity to DC(–). See “Work Cable Installation” in Installation section for details.

2.Install proper drive roll for the wire size selected. See “Changing Drive Roll” in Maintenance section for details.

3.Install the proper gun liner and tip for the wire size select- ed. See “Component Replacement” in Maintenance sec- tion for details.

4.Remove gas nozzle (if installed) and install gasless noz- zle. To remove, simply unscrew.

5.Load wire into machine and thread into gun and cable per “Welding Wire Loading” section.

CONVERSION INNERSHIELD (FCAW)

Son necesarios varios cambios para hacer que la unidad trabaje con procesos (FCAW) Innershield. Los Juegos K549-1 o K549-2 Innershield incluyen todos los accesorios necesarios para esta conversión. Se deberán realizar las siguientes conversiones utilizando el contenido de este juego:

4.Retire la tobera de gas (si la hay) e instale la tobera que no es para gas. Para quitarla simplemente destorníllela.

5.Coloque el alambre dentro de la máquina ypáselo a través de la antorcha y el cable según la sección “Carga del Alambre de Soldadura".

1.Modifier la polarité de sortie sur c.c. (-). Voir «Installation du câble de retour» à la section Installation pour obtenir de plus amples détails.

2.Monter le galet d'entraînement (approprié) en fonction du diamètre de fil choisi. Voir «Remplacement du galet d'en- traînement» dans la section Entretien pour obtenir de plus amples détails.

3.Monter le conduit intérieur et le tube appropriés en fonc- tion du diamètre de fil choisi. Voir «Remplacement des composants» dans la section Entretien pour obtenir de plus amples détails.

4.Démonter la buse de gaz (le cas échéant) et monter une buse sans gaz. Pour démonter, dévisser simplement.

5.Charger le fil dans la machine et l'enfiler dans le pistolet et le câble selon la section «Chargement du fil».
