Selecting a Non-Public Network

To select a non-public network:

1Scroll to New System Search, and press åto activate a search.

2Follow the appropriate instructions below:

If You See This Message:	Do the Following:
Search Done :	• If you want to search for the next
	best network, press C.
[network ID]
	When you see the desired network,
	go on to step 3.
	• To cancel the search and exit the
	menu, press E.
Search All Bands?	• If you want to continue searching
	for networks in another band, press
	å.
	When you see the desired network,
	go on to step 3.
	• To cancel the search and exit the
	menu, press C.
Not Available	Press Eto exit, and retry the
	search later.

3Press åto register with the displayed network.

If registration is successful, your phone displays a confirmation message from the network.

AThe phone is registered with the selected network until you place or receive a phone call or until you turn the phone on and off.

If registration is not successful, your phone displays Not Available. (Registration can fail if you travel outside the network range after you locate the network but before you attempt to register.) Press Eto exit, and retry the search later.

Selecting a Public Network

To search for and select a public network:

Scroll to Use Public Network, and press åto activate a search.

•If the phone finds a public network, it attempts to register. When registration is successful, your phone displays a confirmation message.

AThe phone is registered with the selected network until you place or receive a phone call or until you turn the phone on and off.

•If the phone does not find a public network, it displays Public Not Found.

Press Eto exit, or scroll to other features.

To cancel a search, press Cor E.
