Stopping the machine in transport mode

7.To stop the machine release the pedal (4, Fig. E).

To stop the machine quickly, press also the brake pedal (5).

8.Turn the engine throttle lever (16, Fig. E) to idle, and hold it in this position for a few minutes to let the system stabilize.

9.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

10.Engage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).

Setting the machine to working mode

Set the machine to working mode according to the following procedure:

11.Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.

12.Check that the hopper (12, Fig. G) is lowered and that the warning light (26, Fig. D) is off.

13.Gradually push the engine throttle lever (16, Fig. E) forward without pressing the lever on the handle. The lever (16, Fig. E) stops in the proper position for the working mode shown on the display (2,200 rpm). To increase the speed, press the lever on the lever handle (16, Fig. E) until the display shows the required speed.

14.Turn on the suction fan with the lever (14, Fig. E).

15.To start the broom, lift the safety fl ange (23, Fig. E), then lower the suction inlet and side brooms with the lever (12).

WARNING!

Do not leave the sweeper stationary with the suction inlet lowered and the brooms rotating.

NOTE

Side brooms turn only when the suction inlet is lowered.

16.If necessary, open the dust control system valves (8 and 9, Fig. E), considering the following:

Suction inlet nozzle valve (8, Fig. E): Open it always, except when the fl oor to be cleaned is wet.

Side broom nozzle valve (9, Fig. E): Open it when the fl oor is dry and dusty.

17.Turn on the dust control system water pump with the switch (19, Fig. D).

18.Disengage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).

19.Start sweeping, by keeping the hands on the steering wheel (2, Fig. E) and gradually pressing the pedal (4), on the front side to move forward and on the rear side to move backward.

The drive speed can be adjusted from zero to maximum speed by increasing the pressure on the pedal.

While working, the machine picks up both light materials such as dust, paper, leaves, etc. and heavy materials such as stones, bottles, etc.

NOTE

The suction inlet (10, Fig. G) and the brooms (8 and 9) can be lifted or lowered when the machine is moving. The brooms do not turn when they are lifted.

Stopping the machine in working mode

20.To stop the machine release the pedal (4, Fig. E).

To stop the machine quickly, press also the brake pedal (5).

21.Engage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).

22.Turn off the dust control system water pump with the switch (19, Fig. D).

23.If open, close the dust control system valves (8 and 9, Fig. E).

24.Lift the safety fl ange (24, Fig. E), then lift the suction inlet and side brooms with the lever (12).

25.Turn off the suction fan with the lever (14, Fig. E).

26.Turn the engine throttle lever (16, Fig. E) to idle, and hold it in this position for a few minutes to let the system stabilize.

27.Check that the hopper (12, Fig. G) is lowered and that the warning light (26, Fig. D) is off.

28.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

29.Engage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).
