Cleaning of nozzles inside the suction inlet

10.On both sides of the suction inlet (1, Fig. W), remove the screws (2) together with the nozzles (3).

11.Remove the nozzles (3, Fig. W) from the crews (2).

12.Clean the nozzles (3, Fig. W) with compressed air. Remove calcium deposits.

13.Install the nozzles and screws in the reverse order of removal.

DUST CONTROL SYSTEM WATER FILTER CLEANING

WARNING!

Protect body parts (eyes, hair, hands, etc.) properly, when performing cleaning procedures using compressed air or water gun.

NOTE

When the fi lter is removed, the water inside the tanks comes out up to the fi lter level.

1.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

2.In the area over the rear axle (20, Fig. G), remove the water fi lter cover (1, Fig. M) together with the fi lter (2).

3.Separate the fi lter (2, Fig. M) from the cover, then wash and clean it. If necessary, replace the fi lter.

4.Install the cover (1, Fig. M) and the fi lter (2).

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL LEVEL AND DRAIN FILTER EFFICIENCY CHECK

CAUTION!

This procedure must be performed with the hopper (12, Fig. G) completely lowered.

1.Engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).

2.Start the diesel engine as shown in the relevant paragraph and run it at 1,500 rpm.

3.Open the right lid (16, Fig. G) by releasing the fasteners (17) with the supplied key.

4.Check that the needle of the effi ciency indicator (1, Fig. X) of the hydraulic system drain fi lter (2) is in the green area (3), otherwise the fi lter (2) must be replaced (see the procedure in the Service Manual).

5.Check that there are no oil leaks in the upper area (4, Fig. X) of the hydraulic system oil tank.

6.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

7.Using the indicator (6, Fig. X), check that the oil level in the tank is between the MIN and MAX marks.

8.If necessary, remove the plug (5, Fig. X) and top up. For the types of oil to be used, see Technical Data chapter.

NOTE

Top up by using the same type of oil that is in the tank.

9.Screw the plug (5).

10.Close the right lid (16, Fig. G) by engaging the fasteners (17) with the supplied key.
