When the thumbnail and property of a clip recorded like the example above is displayed using a P2 device, the thumbnail and [COUNT] value of clip 1 will be displayed.

Initializing the metadata setting

Select [META DATA] [INITIALIZE] from the thumbnail menu, and press the <SET> button. Select [YES] when the confirmation screen is displayed. The settings under [META DATA] in the thumbnail menu, including uploaded metadata, can be initialized.

Formatting a P2 card

1Press the <THUMBNAIL> button.

The thumbnail screen appears on the viewfinder screen.

2 Press the <THUMBNAIL MENU> button, and select [OPERATION] [FORMAT] from the thumbnail menu.

ffWhen the following screen appears, select the slot number of the P2 card to be formatted and press the <SET> button.

ffSelect [EXIT] when you do not wish to format the card.

Formatting SD memory cards

3When the following screen appears, select [YES] using the cursor buttons and the <SET> button.

The selected P2 card is formatted.

ttSince data that is deleted by formatting cannot be restored, be sure to check the data before executing formatting.

SD memory cards can also be formatted from the thumbnail screen. With an SD memory card inserted into the camera, perform the following operation.

1Press the <THUMBNAIL> button.

The thumbnail screen appears on the viewfinder screen.

2 Press the <THUMBNAIL MENU> button, and select [OPERATION] [FORMAT] from the thumbnail menu.

ffWhen the following screen appears, select [SD CARD] and press the <SET> button.

ffSelect [EXIT] when you do not wish to format the card.

3When the following screen appears, use the cursor buttons and the <SET> button to select [YES].

The SD memory card is formatted.

ttSD memory cards can also be formatted from the menu screen. For details, refer to “Formatting SD memory cards” (page 85).
