Menu Settings

Using the [CUSTOM MENU]

You can change the button operation, display method etc. for each function using the [CUSTOM MENU] menu. You can also save the changed settings for future use. (P82)

Set items as required.

Select [RESET] in the [SETUP] menu to return the settings to the initial settings at the time of purchase. (P29)

Press [ MENU/SET ] to display the [CUSTOM MENU] menu and select the item to set. (P26)

The current settings for the camera are saved as [CUSTOM SET 1], [CUSTOM SET 2] or [CUSTOM SET 3].

[AF/AE LOCK]

Press [ MENU/SET ] to display the [CUSTOM MENU] menu and select the item to set. (P26)

You can set [AFL/AEL] to [AE], [AF] or [AF/ AE] if you want to fix the focus or the exposure when taking a picture. (P69)

[AF/AE LOCK HOLD]

Press [ MENU/SET ] to display the [CUSTOM MENU] menu and select the item to set. (P26)

[OFF] The focus and the exposure are fixed only while you are pressing [AFL/AEL]. (P69)

If you release [AFL/AEL], [AF/ AE LOCK] is canceled.

[ON] The focus and the exposure remain fixed even if you release [AFL/AEL] after pressing it.

If you press [AFL/AEL] again, [AF/AE LOCK] is canceled.

[ISO LIMIT SET] (P80)

Press [ MENU/SET ] to display the [CUSTOM MENU] menu and select the item to set. (P26)

If you set a maximum setting for the ISO sensitivity, the camera automatically changes to the optimal ISO sensitivity for the brightness of the subject.

The higher the value set for the ISO sensitivity, the more the jitter is reduced but the greater the amount of picture noise.
