Adjusting the flash output

Adjust the flash output when the subject is small or reflection ratio is extremely high or low.

1 Press [MENU/SET] to display the menu.

2Press 3/4/2/1 to select [FLASH ADJUST.] in the [REC] menu [] and then press 1.

3Press 2/1 to adjust the flash output and then press [MENU/SET].

Select [0] to return to the original flash output.

You can also use the front dial or the rear dial to set.

4 Press [MENU/SET] to close the menu.

You can also press the shutter button halfway to close the menu.

You can adjust from [`2 EV] to [_2 EV] in steps of [1/3 EV].

If you adjust the flash output, the adjusted flash output value is displayed on the LCD

monitor. Also, [ ] is displayed on the Viewfinder.

The flash output setting is memorized even if the camera is turned off.

Setting to the 2nd Curtain Synchro

2nd curtain synchro activates the flash just before the shutter closes when taking pictures of moving objects such as cars using a slow shutter speed.

1 Press [MENU/SET] to display the menu.

2Press 3/4/2/1 to select [FLASH SYNC.] in the [REC] menu [] and then press 1.

3Press 4 to select [2ND] and then press [MENU/SET].

You can also use the front dial or the rear dial to select a menu item.

4 Press [MENU/SET] to close the menu.

You can also press the shutter button halfway to close the menu.
