Pre Installation Information

Setup as POP3 Client

To install your machine as POP3 Client, the following network parameters need to be programmed on your network.

TCP/IP Address of your machine

TCP/IP Subnet Mask of your machine

TCP/IP Address of the Default Gateway

TCP/IP Address of the DNS Server (if not available, see note 2)

Email Address of your machine (see note 1)

Name or IP Address of the Default SMTP mail server

POP Server Name or IP Address

POP User Account Name

POP Password

Email Transmission (from your machine to a PC)

NOTE

1. The email address format can be the same as your regular email address. If your email

address is popuser001@panasonic.com, your machine's email address can be

 

 

Internet_Fax@panasonic.com.

2.By default the machine requires the IP Address of the DNS Server and prompts you to enter the SMTP and POP Server Names.

If the DNS Server is not available, change the 27/26*(DNS server address) of General Settings to "No" ( FUNCTION GENERAL SETTINGS 09/04*KeyKeyOperatorMode , Input ID

Code, OK 27/26* DNS Server Address .). Then the machine will prompt you to enter the IP Address of the SMTP and POP Servers.

*Certain Parameter Numbers may differ between the DP-2310/3010 and DP-3510/3520/4510/ 4520/6010/6020 series. If you encounter two Parameter Numbers separated by a "/" and an asterisk ("*"), the first number corresponds to (DP-2310/3010) and the second number corresponds to (DP-3510/3520/4510/4520/6010/6020).
