Glossary

Sleep Mode	The lowest power state that the machine enters after the specified time without actually
	turning off.
SMTP (Simple Mail	This is the main communication protocol used to send and receive email on the Internet.
Transfer Protocol)
Station Name	Alphanumeric ID which can be programmed for each phone number or email address
	location in the Address Book.
Stored Documents	Documents that have been scanned and now are stored in your machine's memory.
Sub-address	ITU-T recommendation for further routing, forwarding or relaying of incoming faxes.
Sub-address Password	ITU-T recommendation for additional security that corresponds to the Sub-address.
Subnet Mask	A mask bit used to manage sub-segments of the network which is defined with network IDs.
Substitute Memory	Your machine's ability to store an incoming document into its memory, when it runs out of
