3.Write the maximum number of characters to be entered in this field (1-30)in box D3.

NOTE: If you will later copy this field into another field, remember the maximum number of characters for the final field is 30. Allow only as many characters as you need. Also, if you are copying into a bar code field, the maximum number of characters in the destination bar code is determined by the bar code type (UPCA-12, EAN-13, etc.).

4.You need to apply field options to manipulate the text entered in this field. You will most likely copy data from this field into another field. Follow instructions in Chapter 3, "Applying Field Options."

5.Make sure you filled in boxes D1 through D3.

6.Repeat steps 1 through 5 for all non-printable fields.
