!Whenplaying discs with MP3/WMA files and
audiodata (CD-DA) such as CD-EXTRA and
MIXED-MODECDs, both types can be played
onlyby switching mode between MP3/WMA
andCD-DA by touching DA-ROM or pressing
BAND/ESC.This function can be operated
onlywhen the disc is playing.
!Ifyou have switched between playback of
MP3/WMAfiles and audio data (CD-DA), play-
backstarts at the first track on the disc.
!ThisDVD player can play back an MP3/WMA
filerecorded on CD-ROM. (Refer to page 95
forfiles that can be played back.)
!Thereis sometimes a delay between starting
upCD playback and the sound being issued.
Whenbeing read in, FORMAT READ is dis-
played.
!Playbackis carried out in order of file number.
Foldersare skipped if they contain no files. (If
folder001 (ROOT) contains no files, playback
commenceswith folder 002.)
!Thisunit does not play back WMA files re-
cordedas VBR (variable bit rate).
!Whenplaying back files recorded as VBR
(variablebit rate) files, the play time will not be
correctlydisplayed if fast forward or reverse
operationsare used.
!Ifthe inserted disc contains no files that can
beplayed back, NO AUDIO is displayed.
!Ifthe inserted disc contains WMA files that
areprotected by digital rights management
(DRM), TRK SKIPPED is displayed while the
protectedfile is skipped.
!Ifall the files on the inserted disc are secured
byDRM, PROTECT is displayed.
!Whena disc contains both WMA files which
areprotected by DRM and audio data (CD-
DA),both types cannot be switched. In this
case,only audio data will be played back.
!Thereis no sound on fast forward or reverse.
!Ifyou do not use the touch panel keys within
30seconds, they will be hidden auto-
matically.

#Whenyou stop MP3/WMA playback by touch-
ingg, that location on the disc is memorized, en-
ablingplayback from that point when you play
thedisc again.
