Listening to the radio
Theseare the basic steps necessar y to operate
theradio. More advanced tuner operation is
explainedstarting on the next page.
1Bandindicator
Showswhich band the radio is tuned to, AM
orFM.
2Signallevel indicator
Showsthe radio wave strength.
3Frequencyindicator
Showsto which frequency the tuner is
tuned.
4Stereo(5) indicator
Showsthat the frequency selected is being
broadcastin stereo.
5Presetnumber indicator
Showswhich preset has been selected.
1 PressSOURCE to select the tuner.
PressSOURCE until you see TUNER dis-
played.
2 PressBAND to select a band.
PressBAND until the desired band is dis-
played,F1,F2,F3 for FM or AM.
3 Toperform manual tuning, press mor
nwithquick presses.
Thefrequencies move up or down step by
step.
4 Toperform seek tuning, press and hold
mornfor about one second and re-
lease.
Thetuner will scan the frequencies untila
broadcaststrong enough for good reception is
found.
#Youcan cancel seek tuning by pressing either
mornwith a quick press.
#Ifyou press and hold mor nyou can skip
broadcastingstations. Seek tuning starts as soon
asyou release the buttons.
Note
Whenthe frequency selected is being broadcast
instereo the stereo (5) indicator will light.
