Showswhen a CD is playing.
2Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack.
3Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track currently playing.
Basic operation of CD
1 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pressand hold mor n.
#Thisis fast forward and reverse operation only
forthe track being played. This operation is can-
celedwhen the previous or next track is reached.
#Ifyou select ROUGH, pressing and holding
mornenables you to search every 10 tracks
inthe current disc. (Refer to Selecting the search
methodon page 38.)
2 Toskip back or forward to another
track,press oor p.
Pressingpskips to the start of the next
track.Pressing oonce skips to the start of
thecurrent track. Pressing again will skip to
theprevious track.
#Ifthe remote control is set to DVH mode, o
andpare assigned to other functions. Use
mandninstead for the DVD mode functions
controlledby oand p.
3 Tostop playback, press g.
#Whenyou stop CD playback by pressing g,
thatlocation on the disc is memorized enabling
playbackfrom that point when you play the disc
again.
#Toresume playback, press f.
#Ifthe remote control is set to DVH,gdoes
notoperate.

Selecting a track directly

Whenusing the remote control, you can select
atrack directly by entering the desired track
number.
1 PressDIRECT.
Tracknumber input display appears.
2 PressNUMBER buttons to enter the de-
siredtrack number.
!Toselect 3, press 3.
!Toselect 10, press 1and 0in order.
