Setting assist subtitles onor off
Assistsubtitles offer explanations for the au-
rallyimpaired. However, they are only dis-
playedif they are recorded on the DVD.
Youcan turn assist subtitles on or off as de-
sired.
1 Movethe joystick up or down to select
ASSISTin the SET-UP MENU (LANG.).
ASSISTis highlighted.
2 Clickthe joystick.
Eachtime you click the joystick the selected
settingswitches on or off.
Setting angle icon display
Youcan set it up so that the angle icon ap-
pearson scenes where the angle can be
switched.
1 Movethe joystick up or down to select
ANGLEin the SET-UP MENU (PICT).
ANGLEis highlighted.
2 Clickthe joystick.
Angleicon display is set on or off.

Setting the aspect ratio
Thereare two kinds of display. A wide screen
displayhas awidth-to-height ratio (TV aspect)
of16:9, while a regular display has a TV aspect
of4:3. Besure to select the correct TVaspect
forthe display you use.
!Whenusing a regular display, select either
LETTERBOX or PANSCAN. Selecting 16:9
mayresult in an unnatural picture.
1 Movethe joystick up or down to select
TVASPECT in theSET-UPMENU (PICT).
TVASPECT is highlighted.
2 Clickthe joystick.
TVaspect menu isdisplayed.
3 Movethe joystick up or down to select
thedesired TV aspect.
Thecurrently setTVaspect isindicated with
