Using balance adjustment
Youcan select a fader/balance setting that
providesan ideal listening environment in all
occupiedseats.
1 PressA to select FAD.
PressAuntil FAD appears in the display.
#Ifthe balance setting has been previously ad-
justed,BAL will be displayed.
2 Pressror qto adjust front/rear
speakerbalance.
Eachpress of ror qmoves the front/rear
speakerbalance towards the front or the rear.
FAD:F25 FAD :R25 is displayedas the front/
rearspeaker balance moves from front to rear.
#FAD: 0 isthe proper setting when only two
speakersare used.
3 Pressmor nto adjust left/right
speakerbalance.
Whenyou press mor n,BAL : 0is dis-
played.Each press of mor nmoves the
left/rightspeaker balance towards the left or
theright.
BAL:L25 BAL :R25 isdisplayed as the left/
rightspeaker balance moves from left to
right.
Adjusting source levels
SLA(source level adjustment) lets you adjust
thevolume level of each source to prevent ra-
dicalchanges in volume when switching be-
tweensources.
!Settingsare based on the FM tuner volume
level,which remains unchanged.
1 Comparethe FM tuner volume level
withthe level of the source you wish to ad-
just.
2 PressA to select SLA.
PressAuntil SLA appears in the display.
3 Pressror qto adjust the source vo-
lume.
Eachpress of ror qincreases or de-
creasesthe source volume.
SLA: +4 SLA: 4is displayed as the source
volumeis increased or decreased.

!TheAM tuner volume level can also be ad-
justedwith source level adjustments.
!VideoCD, CD and MP3/WMA are set to the
samesource level adjustment volume auto-
