Setting the rear output andsubwoofer controller
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
put)can be used for full-rangespeaker
(R-SP:FUL) or subwoofer (R-SP :S/W) connec-
tion.If you switch the rear output settingto
theR-SP :S/W, you can connect a rear speaker
leaddirectly to a subwoofer without usingan
auxiliaryamp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
erconnection (R-SP :FUL). When rear output is
connectedto full range speakers (when
R-SP:FUL is selected), you can connect the
RCAsubwoofer output to a subwoofer. In this
case,you can select whether to use the sub-
woofercontroller s (low pass filter,phase)
built-inP/O :S/W or the auxiliary P/O :FUL.
1 PressF to select R-SP.
PressFrepeatedly until R-SP appears in the
display.
2 Pressror qto switch the rear out-
putsetting.
Pressingror qwill switch between
R-SP:FUL (full-range speaker) and R-SP :S/W
(subwoofer)and that status will be displayed.
#Whenno subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select R-SP :FUL.
#Whena subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,set for subwoofer R-SP :S/W.
#Whenthe rear output setting is R-SP :S/W,
youcannot change the subwoofer controller.
3 Pressmor nto switch the subwoo-
feroutput or non fading output.
Pressingmor nwill switch between
P/O :S/W and P/O :FULand that status will
bedisplayed.
Notes
!Evenif you change this setting, there is no
outputunless you turn the nonfading output
(referto Using nonfading output on page 61)
orsubwoofer output (refer to Using subwoofer
outputon page 60) in the audio menu on.
!Ifyou change the subwoofer controller, sub-
wooferoutput and nonfading output in the
audiomenu return to the factory settings.
Switching the telephonemuting/attenuation
Soundfrom this system is muted or attenu-
atedautomatically when a call is made or re-
ceivedusing a cellular telephone connected to
thisunit.
1 PressF to select TEL.
PressFrepeatedly until TEL appears in the dis-
play.
2 Pressmor nto switch the tele-
phonemuting/attenuation.
Pressingmor nwill switch between
TEL:ATT (attenuation) and TEL:MUT (muting)
andthat status will be displayed.
#Youcan select in the following setting:
!TEL:MUTMuting
!TEL:A20 Attenuation (TEL :A20 hasa
strongereffect than TEL :A10)
!TEL:A10 Attenuation
Notes
!Thesound is turned off, MUTE or ATT is dis-
playedand no audio adjustment is possible.
!Operationreturns to normal when the phone
connectionis ended.
