Operating from the
information display
Thisdisplay lets you use the search function
tospecify a track or a folder to search for de-
siredtrack or folder, select the range for repeat
play,and switch random play, scan play and
pauseplayback on or off.

display.
PressDISP repeatedly to switch between the
followingdisplay modes:

!Whenplaying back WMA files, album title
andcomment are not displayed.
!Whenplaying back MP3 files recorded as
VBR(variable bit rate) files, the bit rate
valueis not displayed even after switching
tobit rate. (VBR will be displayed.)
!Thisunit does not play back WMA files re-
cordedas VBR (variable bit rate).
!Ifspecific information has not been re-
cordedon an MP3/WMA disc, No XXXX
willbe displayed (e.g., No Track Title).
!Somecharacters may not be displayed
properly.
Scrollingtitles in the display
Thisunit can display the first 8 letters only of
FOLDER,FILE,TRKTTL,ART NAME,
ALBMTTL,COMMENT and Bit Rate. When
therecorded information is longer than 8 let-
ters,you can scroll the text to the left so that
therest of the text information can be seen.
%PressDISPLAY and hold until the title
beginsto scroll to the left.
Therest of the title will appear in the display.
Searchingfor a desiredtrack
Youcan use the search function to specify a
trackto search for a desired track.
1 Movethe joystick left or right to select
thetrack option.
Thetrack option is highlighted.
2 PressNUMBER to input the desired
number.
!Toselect 3, press 3.
!Toselect 10, press 1and 0in order.
!Toselect 23, press 2and 3in order.
Tojump 10 tracks ahead of the selected
one,press 10.
#PressingCLEAR cancels the input number.
#Youcan also select tracks by moving the joy-
stickup or down.
#Youcannot select tracks by using NUMBER
whenthe remote control is set to DVH mode. In
thiscase, use the joystick to select tracks.
