Adjusting initial settings

Initialsettings lets you per form initial setup of
differentsettings for this unit.
1Functiondisplay
Showsthe function status.
1 PressSOURCE and hold until the unit
turnsoff.
2 PressF and hold until function name
appearsin the display.
3 PressF to select one of the initial set-
tings.
PressFrepeatedly to switch between the fol-
lowingsettings:
ClockFM(FM tuning step)AM (AM tuning
step)WARN(warning tone)AUX (auxiliary
setting)DIMMR(dimmer)R-SP (rear out-
putand subwoofer controller)TEL (tele-
phonemuting/attenuation)DSC-A (disc
auto)D_ATT(digital attenuation)A-RESET
(audioreset)
#Tocancel initial settings, press BAND.
#Youcan also cancel initial settings by holding
downFuntil the unit turns off.
#Whenthe multi-channel processor (e.g., DEQ-
P7650)is connected to this unit, you can operate
D_ATTand A-RESET instead of R-SP.
Setting the clock
Usethese instructions to set the clock.
1 PressF to select clock.
PressFrepeatedly until clock appears in the
display.
2 Pressmor nto select the segment
ofthe clock display you wish to set.
Pressingmor nwill select one segment
ofthe clock display:
HourMinute
Asyou select segments of the clock display
thesegment selected will blink.
3 Pressror qto set the clock.
Pressingrwill increase the selected hour or
minute.Pressing qwill decrease the se-
lectedhour or minute.
Setting the FM tuning step
TheFM tuning step employed by seek tuning
canbe switched between 100 kHz, the preset
step,and 50 kHz.
1 PressF to select FM.
PressFrepeatedly until FM appears in the dis-
play.
2 Pressmor nto select the FM tuning
step.
Pressingmor nwill switch the FM tuning
stepbetween 100 kHz and 50 kHz. The se-
lectedFM tuning step will appear in the dis-
play.
