Ifseek tuning is performed in 50 kHz steps,sta-
tionsmay be tuned in imprecisely. Tune in the sta-
tionswith manual tuning or use seek tuning
again.
Setting the AM tuning step
TheAM tuning step can be switched between
9kHz, the preset step, and 10 kHz. When
usingthe tuner in North, Central or South
America,reset the tuning step from 9 kHz (531
1,602kHz allowable) to 10 kHz (530 1,640
kHzallowable).
1 PressF to select AM.
PressFrepeatedly until AM appears in the dis-
play.
2 Pressmor nto select the AM tun-
ingstep.
Pressingmor nwill switch the AM tuning
stepbetween 9 kHz and 10 kHz. The selected
AMtuning step will appear in the display.
Switching the warning tone
Ifthe front panel is not detached fromthe
headunit within five seconds of turning off the
ignition,a warning tone will sound. You can
turnoff the warning tone.
1 PressF to select WARN.
PressFrepeatedly until WARN appears in the
display.
2 Pressrto turn warning tone on.
WARN:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn warning tone off, press q.
Switching the auxiliary setting
Itis possible to use auxiliar y equipment with
thisunit. Activate the auxiliar y setting when
usingauxiliary equipment connectedto this
unit.
1 PressF to select AUX.
PressFrepeatedly until AUX appears in the
display.
2 Pressrto turn auxiliary setting on.
AUX:ON appears in the display.

Note
Whenthis unit is connected to the DEQ-P7650,
youcan switch to the AUX mode toanalog or di-
gital.However, when you use AUX as the source,
makesure the AUX mode is set to analog. AUX
digitalshould not be used with this unit.
Switching the dimmer setting
Toprevent the display from being too bright at
night,the display is automatically dimmed
whenthe car s headlights are turned on. You
canturn the dimmer on or off.
1 PressF to select DIMMR.
PressFrepeatedly until DIMMR appears in
thedisplay.
2 Pressrto turn dimmer on.
DIMMR:ON appears in the display.
