Select a soft key that’s not in view.

If a More soft key displays at the far-right of the soft key area, this indicates that additional soft keys are available. Tap More to view the additional soft keys.

Enter Data and Update Fields

You can use the onscreen keyboard to enter information and edit fields. Depending on the type of data needed for each field, you can choose from options that help you format the information you enter. You must choose an option before you display the onscreen keyboard.

To change how numbers and text are formatted:

1Touch the field where you want to enter text.

2Tap Encoding in the soft key area, and choose one of the following options:

Abc Capitalizes the first letter and uses lower case for the remaining letters

ABC Enters upper case only

abc Enters lower case only

123 Enters numbers only

ASCII Enters standard text

Latin Enters accented characters

Katakana Enters Japanese characters

Unicode Enters characters as double byte

Cyrillic Enters Russian characters

To enter a URL or telephone number in the Contact field:

1Touch the field where you want to enter a URL or telephone number.

2Tap Mode in the soft key area, and choose one of the following options:

URL Enters letters, numbers, and characters

Tel Enters numbers
