Interface Menu

The Interface Menu contains several functions for setting up items pertaining to the hardware interfaces such as the serial and parallel ports as well as the optional 10/100BaseT Ethernet and Wireless Print Server.

The Setup items for each interface are described in one of the following sections.

Entering the Interface Menu

To Enter the Interface Menu, press the SETUP button until INTERFACE MENU is displayed on the top line as shown below.

Interface I/o:

Possible Values: Parallel/LAN*, Serial

To select a different INTERFACE, press either of the VALUE buttons. Next press either of the FUNCTION buttons to select an interface item. Note that the selected INTERFACE becomes the one currently in use.

Each interface and the items that pertain to that interface are listed on the following pages. Note that many items are the same for more than one interface since the computer attached to that interface may have different requirements for each of those items.

The factory default values are indicated with an asterisk (*) in this manual (the asterisk does not appear on the printer’s display).
