Replacing The Developing Unit
CAUTION The developing unit should be removed only by an individual who has received the appropriate training. Be careful not to damage the sensors while cleaning the developing unit. (If damage occurs, contact your service representative.)
Developing Unit Removal
1.Turn the power switch OFF.
2.Open the printer front upper cover. (See page 52.)
3.Open the waste toner recovery unit by pushing downward on the lever. Pull the green handle and swing the unit outward away from the printer. (See page 60.)
4.Remove the three thumbscrews on the upper inner cover. Then remove the cover. (See page 60.)
CAUTION Failure to perform step 5 will damage the photoreceptor drum.
5.Rotate the developing unit lever fully clockwise so that it is pointing straight up (to separate the developing unit from the photoreceptor drum).
