ID Code

Use this procedure to register the fol-
lowing kinds of ID codes.

Confidential ID

This ID is usually required for
printing a message received in the
Confidential Reception. P.102
“PRINTING A CONFIDENTIAL
MESSAGE”

Polling ID

This ID is required for using Trans-
fer Request P.87 “TRANSFER
REQUEST”, Default ID Polling
Transmission P.80 “Free Polling
Transmission”, Default ID Polling
Reception P.84 “Default ID Poll-
ing Reception (Free Polling Recep-
tion)”, ID Transmission P.46
“Closed Network”, ID Reception
P.54 “ID Reception”function.
Limitation
A Polling ID can be any combi-
nation of digits (0 - 9) and letters
(A - F) except for 0000 and FFFF.
When you use Transfer Re-
quest, or ID Transmission, reg-
ister the same ID code as that
registered on the sender's ma-
chine.
A Confidential ID can be any a
four digit numeric code except
for 0000.
AMake sure that the machine is in
Facsimile mode and the standby
display is shown.
