Selecting the Film Type and Performing Shading

Negative Film on Glass

1Press the [Shading] key.

2Insert the “N” (Negative) filter in the left slot as shown in the illustration.

Note

Be careful to insert the filter as shown, not the other way around.

3Cut the positioning sheet to match the film size.

4Place the positioning sheet under the mirror unit (on the exposure glass).

Note

Place the marked corner of the film position sheet at the rear left corner of the exposure glass.

Before going to the next step, make sure that the fresnel lens is lowered in position.

5Set the base film in the film strip holder.

Regarding setting the base film, see page 217.

6Open the film cover and while pressing the holder lever to the left, insert the film strip holder in the right slot.

7Insert the holder until the mark is placed as shown in the illustration.
