Introduction
Caution regarding usage of the projector
If you are not to use the projector for a lo ng
time or before moving the projector, make
certain you unplug the power co rd from the
wall outlet, and disconnect any o ther
cables connected to it.
Do not carry the projector by h olding the
lens.
When storing the projector, ensur e you
attach the lens cover to the proje ctor.
Do not expose the projector to dire ct
sunlight or place next to heat sou rces.
Doing so may affect the cabinet co lor or
cause deformation of the plast ic cover.
Other connected equipment
When connecting a computer or o ther
audio-visual equipment to t he projector,
make the connections AFTER unplugging
the power cord of the projector fro m the
AC outlet and turning off the equi pment to
be connected.
Please read the operation manu als of the
projector and the equipmen t to be
connected for instruction s on how to make
the connections.
Using the projector in o ther countries
The power supply voltage and the s hape of
the plug may vary depending on th e region
or country you are using the pro jector in.
When using the projector over seas, make
sure you use an appropriate power c ord for
the country you are in.
Temperature monitor function
If the temperature inside the pr ojector
increases, due to blockage of t he air vents,
or the setting location, the tem perature
warning indicator will blink. A nd if the
temperature keeps on rising, “ ” will
illuminate in the lower left corn er of the
picture with the temperature wa rning
indicator blinking. If this state c ontinues,
the lamp will turn off, the cooling fa n will
run and then the projector will e nter
Standby mode. Refer to “Maintenanc e
Indicators” on pages 76 and 77 for deta ils.
Info
The cooling fan regulates th e internal
temperature, and its performance is automatically
controlled. The sound of the fan may cha nge
during projector operation du e to changes in the
fan speed. This does not indic ate malfunction.
