Application
Toconver t the remote bus coaxial cable to the two lengt hs of
coaxial cable fixed in the bus conv erter UI and to convert the
standard remote bus cable and the remote bus cable for special
applications to thin remote bus cable ( Inhouse cable). To termi-
nate the remote bus coaxial cable with the char acteristic imped-
ance. For uninterruptable swit ching on and off of remote bus
participants.
The connector board AF with mounting plate is prov ided for the
AS235 and AS 235 H automationsystems which areinstalled in
standard cabinets, the OS 265-3 operation and m onitoring sys-
tem (rack version), the bus coupler and the SIMATIC S5-155U
programmable controller.
The connector board AF without mounting plate is provided for
theAS 235 K automationsystem and for the remote buscon-
nection unit (page 4/11).
For applications in critical environments (EMC), the connect or
board AF can be retrofitted with an overvolt age fine protection
device.
Possible locations:
AS 235, AS 235 H, OS 265-3 systems andSIMATIC S5: On
the front right-hand cabinet member, up to 2 connector
boards can be mounted on 1 cabinet member
AS235 K system: In the subrack on theleft of the power sup-
ply assembly
Remote bus connection unit: In the subr ack.
