Each Intensive Care Unit door is held closed by a latch connector and one top and one bottom latch (Figure 6).As the handle is rotated, cams at the ends of the latch connector turn to engage or dis-engage the top and bottom latches to lock or unlock the door. Figure 7 shows the Intensive Care Unit with no divider panel installed, thusformingonefull-sizecompartment.Figure8showstheunitwitha dividerpanelinstalledandformingtwohalf-compartments.Eachhalf- compartmenthasanindividually-controlledfloorheater,however,they shareoxygensupplies,heating,andcooling.Approximatecompartment dimensions are shown inTable 1.
