You don’t want to be reading this.

Chances are, you reached for these pages because something isn’t working the way you expect it to.

Cheer up. Most ZephyrExpress and ISDN problems are easily resolved, either by yourself or with the help of the telephone company. Unless you see blue smoke pouring out of the unit, these pages are probably all you’ll need to get running again. And if they aren’t

HOT TIP!

It may be that something isnÕt working the way you expect it to, because itÕs not supposed to work that way. ISDN and audio coding is not as intuitive as tradi- tional analog audio. If youÕre not familiar with both of these new technologies, read the first section of this manual before assuming somethingÕs wrong.

ISDN TIP!

If ISDN wonÕt initialize ÑÊif you donÕt see the word Ready twice on the screen Ñ and youÕre absolutely sure the line is good and ZephyrExpress is programmed properly, try these tricks. One of them will usually work.

¥Unplug the telephone line from the back of ZephyrExpress, wait a minute or two, and plug it in again.

¥Change the ISDN: Switch type menu setting to the wrong kind of switch and press EDIT to confirm. Wait a few seconds, change it back to the right kind, and press EDIT again.

¥Turn ZephyrExpress off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on again. DO

NOT DO THIS BY DISCONNECTING THE XLR POWER CONNECTOR ON THE BACK PANEL! This can damage the unit, or erase your settings. Use the power supplyÕs switch, or disconnect it from the power line.
