Here, the output is loaded with a high impedance, as would be the case with modern equipment. ZephyrExpress’ voltage level is conveyed to the load with no noticeable attenuation.

When a 600 ½ load is used, the voltage divides, with 2.5 dB being lost in Zephyr- Express’ internal source resistance. Note that, in this case, the meter across the 600 ½ resistor can be said to be indicating dBu or dBm.

CODEC COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION

We believe strongly in the benefits of compatibility. That is why we include a variety of operational modes designed to accommodate the largest number of non-Telos codecs.

We are constantly testing compatibility in our own labs, as well as accumulating infor- mation from others regarding using ZephyrExpress with other codecs. For the latest compatibility information please check our web site, http://www.Zephyr.com, or con- tact Telos customer support.

This is an area constantly in flux, so please contact us with any specific needs not covered below. We also appreciate your contacting us with any information which could be of use to others.
