4.3.3Configuring Ethernet settings via Text Management Interface

•From the Telnet Main Menu, select “Management setup”

•Select “Configure Ethernet”

The system displays the “Ethernet Setup” screen, as shown in

Figure 4-8: Ethernet Setup.

To change to IP assignment mode:

•Select “IP assignment mode”

•Select the appropriate assignment mode from the submenu

•If you choose “DHCP” or “Disable Ethernet,” then select “Save changes, restart the network, and Exit”

If the administrator sets the IP assignment mode to ‘Static’, the ‘Change IP address’, ‘Change subnet mask’, and ‘Change gateway’ options appear, as shown in Figure 4-9: Static IP Settings:
