Removing the Heat sink/CPU

To remove the heat sink/CPU, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-6 to 4-9.

CAUTION: The CPU can become very hot during operation. Be sure to let it cool before starting repair work.

1.Remove the following screws securing the CPU slot cover. Remove the CPU slot cover by lifting it up.

2.Remove the following screws securing the heat sink slot cover. Remove the heat sink slot cover by lifting it up.
