3.4System Test

To execute the System Test select 1 from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, press Enter and follow the directions on the screen. Move the highlight bar to the subtest you want to execute and press Enter.

Subtest 01

ROM checksum

 

This subtest executes a checksum test of the BIOS ROM on the System

 

Board.

Subtest 02

Dock/UnDock

 

When this subtest displays message shown below, slide the corresponding

 

switch and press Enter.

 

Slide Eject-SW, and press [Enter] key

Subtest 04

Fan ON/OFF

 

This subtest checks CPU fan operation using the on/off command. The

 

following message will appear when this subtest is executed. Make sure the

 

fan does not rotate and press Enter.

 

*** Test Fan Revolution 0000RPM Start

 

The following message will appear. Make sure the fan rotates at low speed

 

and press Enter.

 

*** Test Fan Revolution Low speed start

 

The following message will appear. Make sure the fan rotates at high speed

 

and press Enter.

 

*** Test Fan Revolution High speed start

Subtest 05

Gerserville

 

If the CPU supports Gerserville (SpeedStep), this Subtest checks that the CPU

 

operating clock speed can be changed.

Subtest 06

Quick charge

 

This subtest checks the status for the quick charge.
