Telephone operation
About caller ID
This product supports cal ler ID services provide by most local telephone
service companies. Depen ding on your service subscription, you may see
the caller’s number, or the caller’s name and number that are sent by the
telephone company after the rst or sec ond ring. Caller ID allows you to see
the name, number, date and time of calls.
Caller ID with call waiting lets you see the name and tele phone number of the
caller before answering the telephone, even while on anot her call.
It may be necessary to change your telepho ne service to use this feature.
Contact your telephone company if:
You have both caller ID and call waiting, but as separate services ( you may
need to combine these servic es).
You have only caller ID service, or only call waiting servi ce.
You do not subscribe to caller ID or call waiting servic es.
There are fees for caller ID services. In add ition, services may not be
available in all areas.
This product can provide informatio n only if both you and the caller are
in areas offering caller ID servic e and if both telephone companies use
compatible equipment. The time and d ate are sent by the telephone company
along with the call information.
You can use this product with regular caller ID ser vice, or you can use this
product’s other features without subscri bing to either caller ID or combined
caller ID with call waiting servic e.
