Troubleshooting
I cannot dial out.
First, try all the above sugg estions.
Make sure there is a dial tone before di aling. It is normal if the handset takes a
second or two to synchronize w ith the telephone before produci ng a dial tone. Wait
an extra second before diali ng.
If the other telephones in your hom e are having the same problem, the probl em is in
the wiring or local serv ice. Contact your local telephon e company (charges may apply).
Eliminate any background noise. Mute t he cordless handset before dialin g, or dial
from another room in your home wit h less background noise.
My handset beeps and is not p erforming normally.
Make sure the power cord is securel y plugged into the telephone base. Plug t he
telephone base into a differ ent working electrical outlet n ot controlled by a wall switch.
Move the handset closer to the tel ephone base. It might be out of range.
Reset the telephone base by unpl ugging the electrical power to th e base. Wait for 15
seconds and plug it back in ag ain. Allow up to one minute for the cordles s handset
and the telephone base to sync hronize.
Other electronic prod ucts can cause interference to you r cordless telephone. Install
your telephone as far away from these ele ctronic devices as possible: wir eless
routers, radios, radio towers, p ager towers, cellular telephones, inter coms, room
monitors, televisions, per sonal computers, kitchen app liances and other cordless
telephones.
There is interferen ce during a telephone conversation.My calls fade out when I am using th e cordless handset.
The handset might be out of rang e. Move it closer to the telephone base.
If you subscribe to high-s peed Internet service (digital sub scriber line - DSL) through
your telephone lines, you must ins tall a DSL lter between the telephone ba se and
the telephone wall jack. The  lter prevents noise and caller ID problems c aused by
DSL interference. Contact yo ur DSL service provider for more info rmation about
DSL lters.
Appliances or other cord less telephones plugged into the s ame circuit as the
telephone base can cause inte rference. Try moving the appliance or tel ephone base
to another outlet.
Other electronic prod ucts can cause interference to you r cordless telephone. Install
your telephone as far away as possible f rom the following electronic dev ices: wireless
routers, radios, radio towers, p ager towers, cellular telephones, dig ital telephones,
intercoms, room monitors , televisions, VCRs, personal computer s, kitchen appliances,
and other cordless teleph ones.
If your telephone is plugged in w ith a modem or a surge protector, plug the teleph one
(or modem/surge protector) into a dif ferent location. If this doesn’t s olve the problem,
re-locate your telephone or m odem farther apart from each ot her, or use a different
surge protector.
