Troubleshooting
The location of your telephon e base can impact the performan ce of your cordless
phone. For better reception, i nstall the telephone base in a centra lized location within
your home or ofce, away from walls or oth er obstructions. In many environmen ts,
elevating the telephone base im proves overall performance.
Disconnect the teleph one base from the telephone wall jack an d plug in a corded
telephone. If calls are still not c lear, the problem is probably in the wiring o r local
service. Contact your lo cal service company (charges may ap ply).
If the other telephones in your hom e are having the same problem, the probl em is in
the wiring or local serv ice. Contact the local telepho ne company (charges may apply).
I hear other calls when using t he telephone.
Disconnect the teleph one base from the telephone wall jack. Pl ug in a different
telephone. If you still hear other ca lls, the problem is probably in the wi ring or local
service. Call your local tel ephone company.
I hear noise on the cordles s handset and the keys do not work.
Make sure the telephone line cor d is plugged in securely.
My caller ID features ar e not working properly.
Caller ID is a subscription ser vice. You must subscribe to this serv ice from your
local telephone company fo r this feature to work on your telephone.
The caller might not be callin g from an area which supports cal ler ID.
Both you and the caller’s telepho ne companies must use equipment c ompatible with
the caller ID service.
The caller ID information shows a fter the rst or second ring.
If you subscribe to high-s peed Internet service (digital sub scriber line - DSL) through
your telephone lines, you must ins tall a DSL lter between the telephone ba se and
the telephone wall jack. The  lter prevents noise and caller ID problems c aused by
DSL interference. Contact yo ur DSL service provider for more info rmation about
DSL lters.
The telephone does not r eceive caller ID or the telephone do es not show caller ID during call waiting .
Make sure you subscribe to caller I D with call waiting features provided by the l ocal
telephone company.
