Operating range
This cordless telephone operates with the maximum power allowed by the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC). Even so, this handset and telephone base can communicate over only a certain
distance - which can vary with the locations of the telephone base and handset, the weather, and the
layout of your home or ofce.
When the handset is out of range, the handset displays CONNECTING...
If there is a call while the handset is out of range, it might not ring, or if it does ring, the call might not
connect well when you press . Move closer to the telephone base, then press to answer
the call.
If the handset moves out of range during a telephone conversation, there might be interference.
To improve reception, move closer to the telephone base.

Taking care of your teleph one
Your cordless telephone co ntains sophisticate d electronic parts, s o it must be treated with care.
Avoid rough treatmen t
Place the handset down ge ntly. Save the original packing m aterials to protect your tele phone if
you ever need to ship it.
Avoid water
Your telephone can be damaged i f it gets wet. Do not use the hand set outdoors in the rain, or
handle it with wet hands. D o not install the telephon e base near a sink, bathtub or sh ower.
Electrical stor ms
Electrical storms c an sometimes cause power sur ges harmful to electron ic equipment. For your
own safety, take caution when u sing electrical appl iances during storms.
Cleaning your telep hone
Your telephone has a durable pl astic casing that should r etain its luster for many years. C lean
it only with a soft clot h slightly dampened wit h water or a mild soap. Do not use exces s water or
cleaning solvents of any k ind.
Remember that electrical appliances can cause serious injury if used when you are wet or standing
in the water. If the telephone base should fall into the water, DO NOT RETRIEVE IT UNTIL YOU
UNPLUG THE POWER CORD AND TELEPHONE LINE CORD FROM THE WALL. Then remove
the telephone by the unplugged cords.
