Troubleshooting

Make sure the battery is inst alled and charged correctly (p age 3). For optimum daily
performance, return the h andset to the telephone base or charg er after use.
Make sure the power adapter is securel y plugged into an outlet not controlle d by a
wall switch.
Make sure the telephone line cor d is plugged rmly into the telephon e base and the
telephone wall jack.
Unplug the electrical p ower to the telephone base. Wait for approximately 15
seconds, then plug it back i n. Allow up to one minute for the cordless h andset and
telephone base to synchroni ze.
Charge the battery in the ha ndset for up to 16 hours.
If the battery is complete ly depleted, it can take up to 10 minutes to charge th e
handset before LOW BATTERY appears on t he screen (page 3).
Remove and re-insert the b attery. If that still does not work, it might b e necessary to
purchase a new battery.
Disconnect the teleph one base from the telephone wall jack an d plug in a working
telephone. If the other telepho ne does not work, the problem is proba bly in the
wiring or the local serv ice. Call the local telephone com pany.
LOW BATTERY shows on screen.
Place the handset in the teleph one base or charger for recharging.
Remove and re-install the bat tery and use it until fully deplete d, then recharge the
handset in the telephone bas e or charger for up to 16 hours.
If the above measures do not corre ct the problem, replace the batter y.
The battery does not c harge in the handset or the handset ba ttery does not accept charge.
Make sure the handset is placed in t he telephone base or charger corre ctly. The
CHARGE light on the hands et should be on.
Remove and reinstall the batter y, then charge for up to 16 hours.
If the handset is in the telepho ne base or charger but the CHARGE li ght on the
handset is not on, refer to The CHA RGE light is off in this section.
If the battery is complete ly depleted, it can take up to 10 minutes to charge th e
handset before LOW BATTERY appears on t he screen (page 3).
Purchase a new battery. Refer to the Bat tery section (page 37).
